NCMM partners NSCDC to protect Nigeria’s Cultural Heritage
Recently, the NCMM Director General paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi. During the visit, he was accompanied by the Director of Archaeology & Ethnography – Mrs. Anuli Nwogbo.

The purpose of this visit was to firm up a partnership between our two agencies in terms of better protecting our cultural heritage. The Commandant General expressed his commitment to support the NCMM in its mandate by providing the necessary security apparatus for key critical cultural assets across the country.
It is our hope that this partnership will not only demonstrate that federal agencies can effectively work together but will also ensure that our key archeological sites, museums, national monuments and priceless artifacts now have a decent amount of security cover.
NCMM thanks the Commandant-General and leadership of the NSCDC for their time and looks forward to working together on our shared vision.
